Caves Beach S.L.S.C. Inc has a very successful history in all
facets of surf life saving. Since 1929, no life has been lost at During the
2004 season, Caves Beach S.L.S.C.'s 80 active patrol, 44 active reserve and
long serving members completed over 2630 patrol hours. They performed 24
rescues and initiated 196 preventative actions. The club's
Junior Activities Committee (JAC) is now the second largest in the Hunter
Branch. JAC members, "Nippers" as they are so warmly known comprise
children aged 6 through 14. The Nipper movement is the breeding ground for
tomorrows active patrol members, the surf club's competitors and our future
